The London-based World Tourism Forum Institute delegation held several meetings in London and visited Embassy of Ethiopia in London. World Tourism Forum Institute delegation headed by the President Bulut Bağcı was hosted by Ambassador of Ethiopia, Fesseha Shawel Gebre.
Fesseha Shawel Gebre said during the meeting that Ethiopia government has made every effort to promote tourism in the country. Gebre also gave information about tourism investments in the country.
Gebre, who informed the delegation about Ethiopia’s tourism activities, stated that they are working to reveal the real tourism potential of the country.
World Tourism Forum Institute President Bulut Bağcı gave information about the Forum. Speaking about the participation of World Tourism Forum Institute in tourism, Bağcı stressed that they are trying to improve tourism worldwide through annual meetings.
World Tourism Forum Institute President Bağcı also made the announcement of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, as winner of the 2019 Leader in Tourism Award by World Tourism Awards. The World Tourism Forum Institute announced that Ahmed was named among nominated leaders for his outstanding and exemplary efforts to promote the growth and improvement of the Ethiopian tourism industry.
World Tourism Awards 2020 ceremony will be held in Addis Ababa in November 2020. Venue will be announced soon.
