Development for Continental Europe. His remit was expanded in 2009 in the role of Senior Director, Operations & Support, Continental Europe and again in 2012 as he was appointed Vice President Operations Europe. Today Broers is the company’s Regional Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe, responsible for the financial and operational success of all managed and franchised hotels within the region.

During his time with Wyndham Hotel Group, Broers has introduced the company’s flagship Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand into countries as diverse as Germany, Turkey and Uzbekistan. He successfully managed the opening of more than 70 hotels in Germany, establishing it as the fourth largest market for Wyndham Hotel Group worldwide after the U.S., China and Canada. In addition, Broers has overseen the company’s rapid growth in Turkey, seeing the group become the largest US-based hotel company in the country.

A Dutch national, Broers has lived and worked in the Netherlands, Belgium and the U.S.

Since starting his career as a Management Trainee at the Wyndham Warwick Houston in Texas, Broers has held a variety of roles within the hospitality sector including Area General Manager for Holiday Inn Express Antwerp and Mechelen and General Manager at the Ramada Hotel & Suites Amsterdam. Broers holds a Diploma from the Hotel Management School De Rooi Pannen in Tilburg, the Netherlands, and speaks English, Dutch, German and French.
