Director, Tourism & Creative Industries at Íslandsstofa Promote Iceland Inga Hlín Pálsdóttir has been an integral part of branding and promotion for Iceland for the last decade, the last five years as the head of the division for tourism and creative industry at Promote Iceland. Prior she worked for the Trade Council of Iceland. She has been in charge of the marketing initiative Inspired by Iceland from the beginning. She is on the board of NATA – North Atlantic Tourism Association and is a nonvoting board member for Meet in Reykjavik. She is also part of the reference group to the Nordic Council of Ministers on Nordic profiling and branding. In 2014 she made the Skift 50 list as one of the top 50 travel marketers in the global travel industry. Inga Hlín Pálsdóttir has had presentations at various occasions on Iceland and its marketing both in relation to place branding, nation branding, tourism, creative industries e.g. Destination Marketing Assocation International, ITB travel show, World Travel Mart, Nordic Branding Conference and Baltic Sea Region.
She obtained her Master of Science degree from University of Strathclyde at International Marketing and her Bachelor of Sciences at Business Administration from Bifröst University.
