Having graduated from the faculty of informatics at Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania, Leonid Marmer has started his career in IT and Hi-Tech companies. Leonid has worked as VP Sales & Business Development in subsidiary of leading Hi-Tech holding “Matrix Group” (Israel).

Today Mr. Marmer has over 9 years of experience working in travel industry.

Before becoming a General Director of the oldest and biggest Russian incoming travel agency – Intourist – he’d worked as a head of TAL Aviation in Moscow for 6 years, which represents 11 biggest foreign travel and flight companies in Russia, such as American Airlines, Qantas, Air Europa, Bangkok Airways, Cathay Pacific and many others.

Starting from 2014 Leonid Marmer works as a General Director of Intourist LLC. Intourist was found in 1929 and today is one of the oldest and biggest incoming travel agencies in Russia, bringing nearly 300 000 tourist to Russia yearly. In 2011 Intourist became a part of travel industry giant Thomas Cook.

Being an active member of tourism world Leonid Marmer is a member of Coordination Council for Tourism of Moscow, member of Council of partners of travel association “World without borders”, which aims to promote Russian national tourism product on the international market and invests in developing Russian – Chinese tourism.

Leonid Marmer is a 2016 winner of the Government Award.

Mr. Marmer was a speaker and an expert at WTF Summit in Moscow in January 2017.
