Vice President of International Hotel Development at Marriott International Graduated from Cornell University, Markus Lehnert started his career in hospitality 30 years ago and he has been with Marriott International for the last 14 years. As Vice President International Hotel Development Markus is responsible for the development of all Marriott Brands in Central Europe as well as Europe­wide for Moxy.

Prior to his current position, Markus Lehnert led Marriott’s development efforts in Scandinavia, the Benelux Countries, the Balkans, Greece as well as Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland.

Before joining Marriott, Markus was a hospitality consultant with PKF London for three years and before that, he held operational positions for 13 years at various hotels, among them the Breidenbacher Hof in Dusseldorf and the London hotels The Berkeley, Claridge’s and the Lanesbrough.
