Zehra Öney is one of Turkey’s foremost female mobile/digital marketing, advertising, social media and telecommunications expert, having entered the space 15 years ago after 10 years of working at executive positions for the country’s leading tourism agencies.

In 2013 she began collaborating with Blippar, the world’s leading augmented reality (AR) platform, reselling AR solutions to Turkish businesses. Her vision and leadership helped Blippar expanded rapidly, and official Istanbul Headquarters opened in late 2014, with Öney appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and given a seat on Blippar’s Global Management Board.

Öney, who studied Economics at Istanbul University, is also President of 360+ Media Interactive, a digital marketing agency she founded in 2011, and is now a board member of Turkey’s Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). Since 2015 she has been the President of Corporate Communications Committee of TAİK (Turkish American Business Council) operating under DEİK’ s (Foreign Economic Relations Board) umbrella.

Between 2002 and 2007 she held senior positions within Turkcell’s international business development team, and was the Chief Mobile Marketing Officer at Mobilera Holding B.V, General Manager at Mobilera Turkey, and General Manager at Outeractive Medya.

At Mobilera, Öney led Unilever’s interactive outdoor campaign for Cornetto, which won two prestigious global awards: Best Mobile Marketing and Advertising at the GSMA in Barcelona and Best Innovation EMEA at the Smarties in Los Angeles.

During her lucrative career, Öney has managed 300+ successful mobile/digital campaigns, contributed to the digital strategies of over 70 brands, and worked as a business partner with three leading mobile operators: Turkcell, Avea and Vodafone. She also runs the digital communications strategy of KAGİDER, KADEM and TİKAD under the W20 program.

Öney is a member of Istanbul’s Chamber of Commerce, the Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER), and The Association of Futurists. She teaches Mobile Marketing and Career Management on Social Networks in Yeditepe University, holds training seminars on mobile marketing, and has sat on the juries of numerous major award ceremonies.
